Human Behaviour and Content Creation

People on social media often react strongly to content that evokes an emotion. 

So, think about how your content can help others and use your own personal experience to convey your message. This will bring forth en energy that people can actually connect with you on, and you'll feel great for making content that is here to serve the greater good.

Visual Appeal: Humans are naturally drawn to visuals. Use quality or eye catching images and videos that are aesthetically pleasing. Visuals can convey messages quickly and effectively.

Simplicity: Keep it simple and clear. People have limited attention spans, so your message should be easy to understand at a glance. Use concise language and avoid jargon. The first 3 seconds of your video is the most crucial. The first 2 lines of your caption need to hook them in. You get the gist xo

Relatability: Content that people can relate to often performs well. Address common problems or situations your audience faces, and offer solutions or insights. This shows that you understand their needs. This also helps your people find you. 

Variety: Don't be too one-dimensional. Mix up your content types. Share how-to guides, behind-the-scenes glimpses, polls, and questions. Variety keeps your audience interested.

Feedback: Ask your audience for their opinions. Respond to comments and messages. When people feel heard and valued, they are more likely to engage with your content.

Storytelling: Humans love stories. Crafting a narrative in your content can draw people in. Share personal anecdotes or stories related to your brand or message. Stories create a connection and make your content memorable.

The Hero's Journey

Something from the big movies like Star Wars can help you construct compelling captions and blog posts about your experiences in life and what you want to teach through having experienced something.

 

It’s called The Hero's Journey and it’s a classic narrative structure used in storytelling. It consists of several stages that the hero goes through during their adventure:

 

The Departure: The hero leaves their ordinary world and embarks on an adventure. This often begins with a "call to adventure."

 

Initiation: During this phase, the hero faces various challenges, meets allies and enemies, and undergoes personal growth.

 

The Return: After overcoming the central challenge or conflict, the hero returns to the ordinary world, often bringing back newfound wisdom or a boon to share.

 

Here's a simplified breakdown:

  • Call to Adventure: The hero's journey begins with a call to leave their ordinary life.

  • Refusal of the Call: The hero may initially resist the call due to fear or doubts.

  • Meeting a Mentor: The hero encounters a mentor or guide who provides wisdom.

  • Crossing the Threshold: The hero enters the unknown or special world.

  • Tests, Allies, and Enemies: They face trials, make friends, and encounter adversaries.

  • Approaching the Inmost Cave: The hero nears the heart of their journey, often facing their greatest challenge.

  • Ordeal: The hero confronts a life-or-death crisis.

  • Reward: After the ordeal, they receive a reward or gain valuable knowledge.

  • The Road Back: The hero begins their journey back to the ordinary world.

  • Resurrection: They face one final test, often a reflection of their initial ordeal.

  • Return with the Elixir: The hero returns home, transformed, and shares their wisdom or gift.
